At Wellness & Performance Lab, neuromuscular assessment is the first and most important step before any alternative therapeutic intervention or exercise. Through a systematic analysis of posture, mobility, muscle activation, and movement patterns, we identify what is not functioning correctly in the body: muscle imbalances, joint restrictions, weak or overactive muscle groups, and dysfunctions in neuromuscular coordination.
This process is based on evidence-based assessment protocols from major international organizations, including motor control testing, core stabilization evaluation, strength testing, and movement analysis during functional activities. Our goal is to identify the root cause of pain, not just manage the symptom.
A simple example: a person with pronounced lumbar lordosis may experience increased compression in the posterior lumbar joints and intervertebral spaces. This is often associated with weak abdominal muscles, overactive lumbar extensors, and limited mobility in the pelvis or hips. Without precise assessment, treatment can be fragmented. With proper neuromuscular analysis, we can target the specific restrictions and design a program that decompresses the lumbar spine, corrects movement patterns, and protects the joints and discs from further wear.
Neuromuscular assessment is not a simple “measurement.” It is a comprehensive process that allows us to understand how your body functions, where it is dysfunctional, and how we can restore it to its natural balance. Through this process, we design individualized strengthening and prevention programs so that each person can return to optimal functionality and avoid future injuries and pain.
