HVLA Manipulations are a specialized form of manual therapy that use quick, precise, small-range movements to restore normal joint mobility. When a joint “locks” or becomes restricted, it affects movement, creates tension in the surrounding muscles, and often causes pain. Through specialized movements, the therapist releases the area, improves alignment, and activates neurophysiological mechanisms that reduce pain and muscle contraction.
Many patients feel immediate relief and freer movement after the technique. Its effect is not limited to the characteristic “pop” sound, but to the neurological and muscular changes it produces in the area.
HVLA techniques are applied in cases of neck pain, low back pain, movement restrictions, and musculoskeletal dysfunctions. At Wellness & Performance Lab, they are used only after a thorough assessment, ensuring safety and high effectiveness.
